The browser that just won't die
While I was redesigning this website I was thinking, what should the first post be? It took me about 2 minutes of thought to come up with something that bugs me every day...internet explorer 6.
Before you start saying, "why don't you upgrade" or "just use Firefox", it is because I'm a developer. As a developer, IE6 has become the bane on my life. You finish up designing a website, then any good developer checks it out in Firefox. But you know that just around the corner IE is waiting to spoil the party, by displaying your page all over the place.
The time has come to eliminate this browser once and for all. Many internet campaigns have been running to get rid of this horrible, old bit of software. But there is a solution to all developers, force an update! By using the code at http://www.stopie6.org/ all your visitors will be prompted to upgrade to a more respectable version.
